This trick to disable your USB ports can be very helpful if you want to prevent others from copying data from your pc without permission. To disable USB ports follow these simple steps:
1. Open run (Window + R keys).
2. Type regedit and press enter. This will take you to the Registry Editor.
3. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\usbstor.
5. In the value data option change the value from 3 to 4.
6. Click Ok and close registry editor and refresh your desktop.
7. You have disabled your USB ports
8. To Re-enable change the value in the value data back to 3.
NOTE: Do not use this trick if you have USB connected keyboard only as it will disabled and you will not be able to re-enable it unless you have other ways to connect keyboard.
